Forget everything you know about old-school carpet tiles. We don’t need to use permanent glues or messy "peel-and-stick" adhesives that ruin your subfloors. Instead, we use smart-connectors that adhere to the corners of the tiles, locking them together and can be floated.
- Zero Residue: On wood or laminate subfloors, FriXion pads can be installed floating—no adhesive required. On plywood or concrete subfloors, you can adhere them to the floor by removing the peel-and-stick backing from the FriXion pads.
- Machine Washable: Spilled wine? Lift a single tile, toss it in the wash, and reinstall.
- Reusable: Moving home? Pick them up and take them with you.

Prep & Plan
Sweep the floor and ensure it is dry. Find the center of your room to ensure your pattern looks symmetrical.
Place & Pattern
Start in the center. Use FriXion Pads under corners to lock tiles together without sticking them to the subfloor.
Trim & Finish
Measure gaps at the wall and cut tiles from the back using a standard utility knife.
Common Questions
Can I install over carpet?
No. These are designed for hard surfaces (concrete, wood, tile) to ensure the FriXion system locks tightly.
Is this permanent?
It holds securely for years, but because it isn't glued to the subfloor, you can remove it instantly.
Do I need professional tools?
Nope. Just a tape measure, a straight edge (ruler), and a utility knife.
How do I wash them?
Pull up the soiled tile, rinse in the sink or use a delicate machine cycle, air dry, and pop it back in.
